The hit of the party,

"This was my first adventure with cooking scallops, and it went extremely well. I made the dish as an appetizer for a friend's party. I was hooked on the first bite of the first 'cook's sample' even before the sauce was added. I used a ceramic serving/baking platter instead of individual ramekins., and it worked well. The platter was emptied and the sauce mopped up before the platter returned to the kitchen. The dish is way too rich for common use, but it's ideal for that special occasion."
